Often a new space is recreated by making modifications to existing structures. This project is a prime example of how to make an elegant home for your wardrobe without having to start from scratch. The master closet was redesigned by Chris McKenry and organized by our Get It Together LA! team.
An obtrusive full length tailor’s mirror was removed from the island allowing the feeling of more space. Then, the white-painted surface of the island was replaced with a stained Burch top to match the woodwork in the adjoining hall.
More hanging space was created on the back wall and a lovely framed glass cabinet was added for extra storage and display. The existing handbag cabinet was updated with the same matching framed glass doors giving a beautiful display of Prada, Rodo, St. John’s, Tod’s and Louis Vuitton evening and handbags.
And there is never enough room for designer footwear. Not true now. We made room for Micheal Kors, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta and Salvatore Ferragmo by adding shelves perpendicular to the existing shoe display.
The chandelier and wall coverings were by Preston Lee Design. Now this dressing room has form, function and finesse. Organizing does just make life easy, it makes it spectacular.
